Smart City: Building a liveable place for you and me

The Greater Bay Area International Technology Industry Association (GBAITA) is organising the Smart City Talk Series to keep up with the global development trend, and to promote information and technology. President of GBAITA Mr Yeung Tak Bun Allen is the event host and CUHK is one of the supporting organisations. Experts from relevant industries will be invited to share insights on different topics, aiming to join hands with the government and different enterprises in promoting a smart community. It is expected that the event will deepen the public’s understanding of the advantages of smart cities and the way they operate.

Creativity and information technology are key elements to building smart cities. The seminars will provide a platform for in-depth analysis on the application of smart communities in various industries with the help of information technology. It ensures effective allocation of resources and enhances city management, so as to provide citizens with quality services and improve their quality of life, paving the way for achieving the ultimate goal – leading the society towards a more sustainable future.
