Joyous reunions at home
The CUHK Alumni Homecoming Day is one of the University’s flagship events. Held on 3 December 2022, more than 3,800 alumni and their family members went home to look around the campus and recount their fond memories at the alma mater.
At the event’s opening ceremony, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President Professor Anthony Chan who delivered the speech at the event warmly welcomed the participants and introduced the future development of the University. He officiated the donation presentation ceremony of “CUHK Alumni Torch Fund” (The Fund), which aims at supporting young alumni in their entrepreneurial efforts and career development. The Anniversary Class Fundraising Committee this year has helped raise a sum of HK$1 million for The Fund. It has now accumulated over HK$11 million since its establishment in 2014.
Participants took part in various programmes to learn about recent development of the University, including guided tours at the University Library, Art Museum, Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change and CUHK Medical Centre. They were also immersed in the joyous vibe listening to the busking performance at the University Mall and taking pictures at various landmarks on campus.
