Indelible inklings

To foster cultural exchange between mainland China and Hong Kong, deepen the collaboration between the University and the Palace Museum in academic research, exhibition, talent cultivation and exchange, and facilitate the Song dynasty stele rubbings exhibition co-organised by CUHK’s Art Museum and the Palace Museum in the coming September, Vice-Chancellor Professor Rocky Tuan led a delegation to visit the Palace Museum on 28 June. A memorandum of understanding between the two institutions was signed in the Jianfu Palace Garden (Garden of the Palace of Established Happiness).

The agreement was signed by Professor Tuan and Wang Xudong, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and director of the Palace Museum. The exhibition agreement was signed by Professor Josh Yiu, director of CUHK Art Museum and Lou Wei, executive deputy director of Palace Museum. The exhibition, scheduled from September to November at Wenhua Dian (Hall of Literary Brilliance) of the Palace Museum, will feature 40 Song Dynasty rubbings from the collections of both museums.
