Last call: “CUHK Mooncake” for purchase

“CUHK Mooncake” is now available for preorder until August 27.

Each box, priced at HK$300, includes four low sugar white lotus-seed paste mooncakes with double egg yolks, containing 10.8 grams of sugar only. For each box sold, CUHK will deliver a free mooncake to old people living alone in Shatin and Tai Po.

Proceeds from the mooncake sales will be donated to CUHK 60A University Development Fund.

The University has joined hands with Caritas La Vie, a local social enterprise which provides job opportunities for the mentally disabled through its baking workshop, to produce “CUHK Mooncake”. This year, Professor Ng Yuet-lau, renowned Lingnan School painter and Honorary Fellow of CUHK, contributed exquisite ink paintings portraing the University’s spectacular views for the design of the packaging box.

You are also welcome to join CUHK·Care Service Team to visit the elderly with CUHK Mooncake before the Mid-Autumn Festival. CUHK·Care Service Team will work with charity organisations at Shatin and Taipo to organise a number of visits to the elderly. Please click here for details.
