CUHK-Shenzhen organizes "Fairy Lake International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition"
The “Fairy Lake International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition”, an international competition co-organised by CUHK, CUHK (Shenzhen), the Shenzhen Longgang People’s Government and the Shenzhen Medium and Small Enterprise Service Bureau, was officially launched on 17 November, and is now open for registration.
The competition focuses on four industry sectors. These are biomedicine and medical devices, big data and artificial intelligence, high-end smart manufacturing, and new materials and new energy. This competition seeks the participation of high-quality projects from home and abroad, which can achieve the perfect balance in areas such as innovation, industry, capital, and talent. It also hopes to facilitate the efficient allocation of resources in Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area, attract exceptional talent to settle in the city, and at the same time promote greater integration and interaction in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
The competition is divided into two categories: the “Entrepreneur” category and the “Enterprise” category. Awardees will be selected through two rounds of competition in each category. Each team can have two to six participants (with one team leader and up to five team members, plus one or two additional mentors), and individual entries will not be accepted.
The prize fund is generous, with first prizes for the Enterprise category reaching RMB 500,000 and that for the Enterpreneur category reaching RMB 300,000. Second and third prizes as well as honourable mentions in both categories will also be awarded. Participating teams can submit their application forms and information through this link (Chinese-language only), and the deadline is 2 January 2024.
