Over 400 CUHK scholars named among world’s top 2% scientists

A total of 404 CUHK academics have been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists in 2024 in a database created by Stanford University.

The “Updated science-wide author databases of standardised citation indicators” was released last month. Among the 404, more than 40 scholars are ranked among the top 100 in their respective academic fields.

Created by a research team led by Professor John Ioannidis, the database lists the top 100,000 scientists or top 2% scientists in respective fields across the world based on indicators including their career-long citation impact and single-year citation impact in 2023.
