CUHK students awarded AIA Scholarships

Twenty Year 1 students have been awarded AIA Scholarships 2021-22 in recognition of their excellent academic performance and contribution in community service or charitable work. They come from a wide range of disciplines, such as medicine, electronic engineering, business administration, mathematics, government and public administration, English, biomedical engineering and so forth (see table below).

Law Yan-tung, Year 1 student of Medicine (Global Physician-Leadership Stream), said, “Not only has the AIA Scholarship alleviated my financial burden, but it has also encouraged me to stretch my wings and fly to the destination I long for. In the coming years, I will strive to create a rewarding learning experience while giving back to others in need, just like how AIA Foundation has helped me.”

Yau Tin-yuet, now majoring in psychology, said, “AIA Scholarship testifies my hard work and serves as the motivation and support for my future success. Their Young Leaders Development Programme allows me to acquire knowledge and life skills that facilitate my personal growth and career development.”

Launched in 2020, the AIA Scholarships is committed to offering 100 scholarships each year to Year 1 local undergraduate students among 10 local universities as a major and generous investment in potential future leaders. The value of each scholarship is HK$50,000, renewable up to the normative study period of the programme on an annual basis.
