Plastic contributes to global greenhouse gas emissions and is a non-degradable toxic pollutant. It is being produced at a rate far exceeding we can properly handle. This leads to scientists’ harrowing prediction that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

The latest exhibition by Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change, Midway Collide-O-Scope, presents a collection of artworks made from marine plastic debris and records of the artists’ life-changing expedition in their quest for plastic pollution truth. It aims to arouse the public’s curiosity and awareness on global plastic issues through art—and to inspire positive behavioural change.
