A dinner in honour of the virtuous minds

The University held its Twentieth Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony in May this year. Five distinguished individuals were appointed Honorary Fellows by Council Chairman Professor John Y. Chai for their exceptional professional achievements and remarkable contributions to the University and the community. A dinner in honour of the Honorary Fellows was held on 26 September. Around 80 guests attended the dinner.

In his speech, Professor Chai welcomed the guests and said, “The Pandemic has taught us just how fortunate we are to gather here with family, friends and colleagues to celebrate this special occasion.” He further highlighted the distinguished achievements of the 2022 Honorary Fellows, namely Professor Cheng Chuen-hon Arthur, Mr Lam Wai-hung Enders, Mr Li Kwok-sing Aubrey, Professor Wong Nai-ching Henry and Ms Yu Chui-yee.

On behalf of the University, Professor Chai expressed his heartfelt congratulations to them. He remarked that CUHK is extremely fortunate to have the wise counsel, support and friendship of these outstanding Honorary Fellows. “Your ongoing support will be essential for us as we navigate the next chapter in the CUHK story – you all embody the aspiration of achieving ‘excellence with purpose and responsibility’ as highlighted in our 2021–2025 Strategic Plan.”
