Soul-replenishing largesse

New Asia College has received a historic gift of $15mn from Tin Ka Ping Foundation to launch a Chinese culture promotion programme, set up new scholarships and bursaries, and construct a new hostel.

The Replant Spiritual Roots, Nourish our Talents programme plans to promote Chinese virtues through a wide array of activities, such as on-campus Chinese cultural activities, summer camps for local junior high school students, and training classes for educators in mainland China. Scholarships and bursaries will be set up under its auspices to help collegers in straitened circumstances, and also those with exemplary performance in extra-curricular activities and social service.
