New Council Member

Ms Sonia C.M. Cheng has been elected by the Council, in accordance with Statute 11.1(m) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Ordinance, as a Member of the Council for a period of three years from 1 November 2022.  She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Rosewood Hotel Group, an executive director of New World Development Company Limited, Vice-Chairman and Executive Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited, and an independent non-executive director of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.  Ms Cheng has also been serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Hotel and Tourism Management of CUHK since 2014.

New Director of University Safety Office

Mr Hui Pak Kai Dennis has been appointed as Director of University Safety Office, effective 6 October 2022.
