Council appointment

Mr Eric Chan Cho-biu has been elected by the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College, in accordance with Statute 11.1(e) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Ordinance, as a Member of the Council with effect from 1 June 2023.

Mr Chan is a CUHK alumnus (1979/Biology; 1980/Diploma in Education) and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College. He is also currently Director of Hong Kong News-Expo Limited and Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Journalism Education Foundation. He was Chief Editor of Hong Kong Economic Times from 1995 to 2017 and Executive Director of Hong Kong Economic Times Holding Limited from 2005 to 2017 and from 2019 to 2022.
