Laurels for AI and robotics innovation
Professor Jia Jiaya, professor of computer science and engineering, has received the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize for his contributions to artificial intelligence and robotics.
“I am honoured to receive this award. Artificial intelligence development becomes impactful to the whole human society, and I am glad to be able to contribute to this field and continue to promote research,” he said.
Set up by the Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation and sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong), the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize fosters the development of science and technology innovation in Hong Kong through recognising people and groups who have made significant contributions in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, life and health, new materials and new energy, advanced manufacturing, and fintech.
