The Hong Kong Jockey Club Undergraduate Scholarship aims to recognise outstanding students enrolling in programmes funded by the University Grants Committee for their intellect, character, leadership qualities and commitment to service. The Chairman’s Scholarship and Striding On Scholarship are newly set up this year, the former attracting local, mainland and international students with exceptional academic achievements to pursue their undergraduate studies in Hong Kong. The Striding On Scholarship recognises local students who have achieved excellence while demonstrating resilience and strength of mind to overcome adversities or challenges in life by supporting their post-secondary studies in Hong Kong.

The awardees of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships are provided with full tuition, academic and living allowance for the normative study period, overseas learning subsidies and one-off cash award, along with opportunities to participate in the Hong Kong Jockey Club overseas leadership programme and other leadership support programmes, according to their respective scholarship schemes.
