Dance till you drop
On November 20, CUHK played host to the Joint-University Mass Dance 2023, gathering hundreds of young passionate dancers from ten local universities at the Beacon outside the University Library. Jiving to tunes ranging from hip-hop, Cantopop, K-pop to jazz, the troupes burned the dance floor and were met with loud roars and cheers from the audience.
Pleiades, the CUHK Modern Dance Society, arranged for about 100 dancers in three troupes to take part in the show including dozens of freshmen. The Joint-U Mass Dance is an annual student-led event, where students of the universities’ dance societies take turns to stage a show on their own campuses or at other venues within a month.
