A wellspring of new ideas and collaborations

The end of year represents a break from the teaching calendar and a chance to go abroad to forge and renew connections. Professor Steven Ngai of the Department of Social Work led a delegation to visit three top American universities, namely New York University, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania in December. Among the delegates were Professor Randolph Chan Chun-ho, Professor Cheung Mei-chun, Professor Dai Haijing, Professor Kim Minseop, and Dr Joanne Leung Kit-ting.

The visit has brought about closer ties between the Department and each of the three world-leading universities, opening up possibilities for research partnership, graduate student exchange and teaching collaboration.
