Looking to the future

Organised by the Office of Student Affairs’ Career Planning and Development Centre, the 2024 CUHK Careers Fair ran from 27 February to 1 March at the Yasumoto International Academic Park, as part of their range of career-related activities. This year, the fair brought together nearly 100 recruiters from over 30 industries, covering job openings that ranged from internships to graduate positions.

Over 4,000 students participated in the fair, which provided them with an opportunity to connect directly with recruiters. The fair aimed to equip students with a better understanding of employment opportunities, as well as future prospects in diverging industries. Students were also able to submit their resumes during the event to apply for their desired positions.

A series of guidance talks were organised during the Fair, to help furnish students with the essential professional skills and knowledge required to embark on their professional journeys. Industry experts were invited to share their experience, expertise and advice with the students, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of industry trends, learn about different career paths, and develop clearer visions for their future. The CV consultation service was another sought-after offering at the Fair, where students had the opportunity to receive personalised feedback on their resumes from experienced professionals.
