CUHK’s dedications to be on show in coming month in Hong Kong and Shanghai

CUHK dedicates to integrating research, innovation and enterprise for the translation of research into tangible benefits and the delivery of innovation to the world. An array of events and delegation visits will be held in the coming weeks to show the University’s achievements and commitment within and beyond Hong Kong.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the CUHK Entrepreneurship Day, the University will hold its first large-scale community exhibition of its cutting-edge research projects in New Town Plaza, Sha Tin this month, including those of the seven CUHK teams that recently won funding awards from the government’s inaugural Research, Academic and Industry Sectors One-plus Scheme. Other programmes include interactive games and STEM experiential workshops. Distinguished start-ups founded by alumni will be there to introduce their projects.

Following the community exhibition, Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Rocky S. Tuan will be leading a CUHK delegation comprising senior management members and faculty members to the mainland in early September. They will visit the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology in Beijing, before attending the opening of CUHK-Shanghai Yangpu Week including the CUHK education and innovation exhibition, and anniversary activities of CUHK Shanghai Centre.

Back on the Hong Kong campus, the annual Entrepreneur Day and Innovation Day will return in late September with new excitements.
