Clare Hall Visiting Fellowship Programme 2025-26

Applications/nominations are now invited for the Clare Hall Visiting Fellowship Programme in 2025-26. The fellowship offers a Visiting Fellow to carry out research at Clare Hall of the University of Cambridge. The visiting period could be six or twelve months starting from August 2025 (for a six-month/one-year fellowship), or January 2026 (for a six-month fellowship). All full-time teaching appointees at the Assistant Professor rank or above, in any discipline, who have served at the University for at least one year are eligible for application. Successful applicant(s) would receive a monthly allowance of HK$10,000 from CUHK for subsidising the residence at Clare Hall. A post‐fellowship service undertaking would be required (six to twelve months subject to the duration of the fellowship). More information could be obtained at the Human Resources Office (HRO)’s website.

Applicants should submit the completed application forms and requisite supporting documents, together with the endorsement of the Department Chairperson/Unit Head and the Faculty Dean as appropriate, to the Staff Training and Development Unit of HRO on or before 10 October 2024 (Thursday) for the University’s consideration. Please note that successful applicants should apply for their own accumulated leave and academic leave (or sabbatical leave if applicable), and/or no-pay study leave to pursue the fellowship programme. For enquiries, please contact HRO via email: hro-staff.dev@cuhk.edu.hk or telephone: 3943 8607 or 3943 7876.

To share more about the fellowship programmes, the Office of Academic Links and HRO will co-organise an online information session on 13 September 2024 (Friday) at 10:30 am. Past awardees of the CUHK-Stanford University CASBS Fellowship Programme and the Clare Hall Visiting Fellowship Programme at the University of Cambridge will be invited to share their experience. Interested applicants are encouraged to join the session to learn more about these two programmes. Please click here for registration.
