CUHK students win team medals at world karatedo championships

Three CUHK students achieved medals as part of the Hong Kong Karatedo team at the first-class international Karate1 Series A Championships held in Larnaca, Cyprus between 14 and 16 February.

CUHK athlete Tam Cheuk-yi, a third-year Psychology student, won the silver medal in the women’s team kata, alongside her teammates Wong Sze-man, Ma Ka-man and Tung Yee-yin. Meanwhile, third-year Physical Education, Exercise Science and Health students Tang Yu-hin and Li Chi-kong secured a bronze medal in the men’s team kata, working with their teammate Chiu Chun-yin.
